Archipelago Resort is located 7km south of the coastal town of Vilankulos, and 2km from the Vilankulos International Airport. The airport is fully staffed by  Customs and Immigration (visas available at the airport), and is serviced by 5 flights per week from Johannesburg and Maputo.

No visas required for South African Passport holders.

Zimbabwe to Vilankulos

The road South of Inchope is under repair, although the recent rains slowed progress down over the +/- 60km affected area.  While a 4X4 is not required, caution must be taken at all times.  The distance from the Mutare border post to Vilankulos is 580kms.

South Africa (Nelspruit) to Vilankulos

The road below Vilankulos toward Xai-Xai (a distance of +/- 90km is under repair. The road is nearly complete from South Africa to the resort. On some stretches you must drive with care but soon it will be complete and a high class road.

The distance from Nelsruit to Vilankulos is 910kms.  Daily flights take place from Joburg to Vilankulos (twice daily during the peak season), and on Tuesdays and Fridays from Nelspruit to Vilankulos.
